Historic Lake Wenatchee youth camp needs $31,875 to meet payroll and $126,125 to care for affected families while protecting its future!

Camp Fire North Central Washington is asking the community for immediate financial support to help keep Camp Zanika Lache open for future generations after unprecedented wildfire smoke forced the early closure of multiple summer camp sessions.

Camp Zanika ended Session 5 one day early because of deteriorating smoke conditions. The smoke cleared and then Session 6 was then canceled on only the second day after campers arrived when conditions again became unsafe.

We just cancelled Session 7 due to smoke still in the area. We are trying to be hopeful for session 8

Camp Fire North Central Washington Council has served youth since opening in 1918, making us one of the most successful and deeply rooted youth-development organizations in our community.
